Effie and Greg were married at the LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort in Naples, Florida! \u00a0They say they met through mutual friends, and their first date was over beer, wings, and football! \u00a0Summer weddings in Florida are awesome! \u00a0Sure, it can be hot… but we always end up with images with incredible skies! \u00a0The sky in the image directly below is not<\/em> photo-shopped in, that’s how it actually looked! \u00a0Usually, Summer storms in Florida don’t last very long, so the chances of it ruining your whole day are slim. \u00a0There were huge cracks of thunder towards the end of the couple’s ceremony. \u00a0You’ll see pictures below of officiant Dr. Dan Lamey pointing out towards the storm and Effie and Greg laughing about it! \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0Here’s what Effie had to say about why she decided on a LaPlaya wedding.<\/p>\n

We booked La Playa because we were looking for a\u00a0beach-side\u00a0resort that’s quaint with lots of southern charm and character. \u00a0La Playa has that gorgeous gulf lawn that was exactly what we were looking for. \u00a0 After researching many options we knew we had to get married on that lawn!<\/em><\/div>\n
